DEBKAfile: Indonesia follows Morocco and the Czech Republic in warnings of imminent terrorist attacks

In an upgraded travel advisory, the Australian government said terrorists are actively planning attacks in Indonesia which could take place any time in known terrorist targets which include Bali and Jakarta.

On July 3, following the London and Glasgow bombings attempts, DEBKAfile reported a US specific warning to the Czech government 10 days earlier of large-scale terrorist attacks planned by al Qaeda for Prague against US, Jewish and Israeli locations.

Morocco was placed on maximum alert for an imminent terrorist attack after a meeting of chiefs of police, intelligence and paramilitary forces in Rabat Saturday, citing “reliable intelligence information.” DEBKAfile adds: This information came from American and British security officials on recent visits to Rabat. One of those visitors was the FBI head, Robert Mueller.

The British government’s new security adviser said in London Sunday that the UK faces a 15-year battle against Islamist terrorists.
