The State Department has ordered family members and non-essential US government personnel to leave their posts in Sudan and Tunisia without delay and issued travel warnings to US citizens in the two countries to escape anti-US violence. Sudan has rejected the US request to post 50 marines to its embassy in Khartoum as in Tunis and Yemen and a terrorist threat to Western interests remains critical.
