Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein approved the appointment of Gen. Gady Eisenkott to Deputy Chief of Staff - even thugh the country is in the middle of an election campaign - out of the conviction that it is vital and urgent given the "“security challenges facing the IDF in all sectors – the West Bank, the South, Syria and more distance arenas.”
