In his address to the UN Assembly Tuesday, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said Israel will never allow Iran to get nuclear weapons. If Israel is forced to stand alone, Israel will stand alone, if there is no other choice.
Pointing to failed diplomacy with North Korea, Netanyahu said that a nuclear-armed Iran would be equal to 50 North Koreas in its threat to the world. DEBKAfile: This was a reference to Iran’s plan for an arsenal of 50 nuclear warheads.
The prime minister said for diplomacy to work, the international community must stand by four conditions: International sanctions must stay in place; no partial deal must be accepted; Iran’s entire nuclear infrastructure must be dismantled; and a credible military threat sustained.
