Arson is suspected in the four big fires blazing on Jerusalem’s outskirts Wednesday along with the violent daylong Palestinian disturbances in the northern sections of the city. Dozens of fire brigades and planes are fighting the conflagrations. One is burning at Ora and Aminadav Moshavim, where evacuations have begun; another at Tzur Hadassah; a third at Lifta-Givat Shaul envelopes the exit from the city to the main highway to Tel Aviv with smoke. The road to Hadassah hospital in Ain Karem is closed. The fourth fire in the valley of Ramot threatens to close the Ramot road as well.
