It marked the latest, deliberately ramped-up phase: After advancing from rocks, stabbings, car rammings and teen attacks, through the stage of loners to gangs of two and three, this week, it moved up to shooting and explosive devices. DEBKAfile Exclusive Analysis January 8, 2016

Initial interrogation of the five detained accomplices of Natash Melhem, the triple Tel Aviv murderer who died in a gunfight Friday, Jan 8, revealed that they were part of an Islamic State cell.  The special police force which ran him to earth told him to surrender and shot him dead when he opened fire. Disabling rather than killing shots might have left a living source of information on what was clearly a meticulously planned terror attack by a gunman with a support team. So why did the Yamam marksmen choose to kill him instead of injuring him and taking him alive?

DEBKAfile Special Report November 19, 2015

All five murders perpetrated by Palestinian terrorists in Tel Aviv and on the Hebron highway on Thursday, Nov. 19, led back to the Hebron district of the southern West Bank.
