A pilot killed, 2nd injured in IAF Apache crash

The IDF spokesman reported Monday night, Aug. 8 that an Israeli Air force Apache helicopter had crashed on a test flight for checking the Apache fleet’s fitness for operations upon returning to the Ramon Air Base in the Negev.  The helicopter belonging to the 190th Squadron reported a technical misfunction and a few minutes later at 21:01 hours crashed between the two runways of the base.

No cause has yet been established for the Russian-made Antonov Ant-12’s crash-landing on the east bank of the Nile River 800 m short of Juba international airport in South Sudan Wednesday, Nov. 4. Some 40 people were believed killed on board and on the ground, although there appear to be two survivors. But none of the 224 passengers and crew aboard the Metrojet Flight 9268 Airbus 321 survived the airliner’s crash in central Sinai Saturday, Oct. 31. Russian forensic examinations of the victims’ remains show evidence of an explosion in the plane.

ISIS claims downing Russian airliner in Sinai in reprisal for Moscow’s Syria air strikes

The daily murder of scores of innocents in Syria by your air bombardments will bring upon you disasters…" said a statement from the Sinai affiliate of ISIS after a Metrojet Airbus 321, carrying 217 Russian tourists and 7 crew from Sharm el-Sheikh to St. Petersburg, crashed in central Sinai early Saturday morning, Oct. 31. There were no survivors.

Dozens of international intelligence and counter-terrorism agencies worldwide are seeking the identifies of two passengers with stolen passports aboard the Malaysian airliner which vanished Saturday, March 8, without a trace, with 239 people aboard. Interpol sharply reprimanded Kuala Lumpur security for failing to check its lists of stolen and lost passports against passengers’ documents. The FBI has found no signs of an explosion in the vicinity of the lost airliner. The cause of the crash remains baffling.
