debkafile: Tehran rejects IAEA director ElBaradei’s visit until agreement

Iran’s foreign ministry announced that the director of the international nuclear watchdog Dr. Mohamed ElBaradei wished to schedule a visit to Iran to see Iranian officials before releasing his report Wednesday or Thursday. His request was rejected. Iran said the date for his visit would be announced only after an agreement is reached between the Tehran government and the atomic agency.
The IAEA director’s report is unlikely to show enough progress on Iranian transparency about its nuclear program to avert UN Security Council sanctions at the end of the month. European foreign policy executive Javier Solana will confirm that Iran remains unwilling to suspend uranium enrichment.
