US Democratic Convention opens with Trump overtaking Clinton
The Democratic Convention for nominating Hillary Clinton the party’s nominee for president opens in Philadelphia Monday weighed down with snags. The party forced Debbie Wasserman Schultz to resign as party chairwoman at the last minute to save face, after WikiLeaks released nearly 20,000 DNC emails, which show the supposedly neutral arm of the party campaigning to discredit and mock Bernie Sanders. The defeated candidate’s supporters are planning a mass protest. Then too, the CNN poll rating the Republican’s nominee Donald Trump has bounced to 44% past Clinton’s 39% since he won the party nomination.
