1,000 US troops may be heading to Kuwait

President Trump is considering sending at least 1,000 American troops to Kuwait to serve as a reserve force in the war against ISIS, US officials report. This deployment is intended to speed up US-led offensives against the Islamic State in Syria and Iraq, providing commanders on the ground with more flexibility and speed of response.  “This is about providing options,” explained one US official. There are currently eight US bases in Kuwait.
