Hamas accuses Israel of assassinating engineer in Malaysia
The Mossad is accused by Hamas of shooting dead in a town near Kuala Lumpur, Dr. Fadi M, Albatsh a Palestinian electrical engineer from Gaza, who was working as senior lecturer in his field at the University of Kuala Lumpur. The Gaza-based Palestinian news site Safa claimed that he was struck by about 10 bullets fired by two gunmen on a motor bike as he left a mosque after morning prayers. Hamas issued a statement on its website honoring Batash for “working for the Palestinian cause.”

You can’t help but wonder exactly what he did “to help the Palestinian cause” that supposedly may have necessitated Mossad to arrange for his removal. They’re pretty busy and quite exceptional at prioritizing their work in defense of Israel.
Presuming the claim is accurate, which I doubt, I’m going to guess he wasn’t organizing food relief packages.
Overall, I’m sorry but color me skeptical. Isn’t Mossad usually a bit more sophisticated than a drive-by shooting from the perch of a passing moped?
This sounds to me more like he got popped by his own side for upsetting the wrong mullah.
I think that Dr. Fadi M, Albatsh was targeted (paid for) by Fatah and that Abbas personally signed his death warrant. Remember that Fatah did not get what they wanted (control) with their rapprochement with Hamas and this is part of the payback.
