Gantz will lead Kahol Lavan for the March election

In a TV prime time statement Kahol Lavan leader defense minister Benny Gantz disclosed he would run in the next election at the head of Kahol Lavan. He blamed PM Binyamin Netanyahu for “dragging us into another election” and vowed it would be his last. Gantz insisted he had remained as part of the government in order to  save the country from a prime minister “who puts self interest ahead of the national good” and to save democracy. When this government ends its term, Gantz pledged, “I will lead an alliance for bringing the country to safe shores.”
