At least 100 Hamas rockets rip through Israel in an hour

Palestinian rockets from the Gaza strip pounded a large swathe from Greater Tel Aviv in the north and locations south of Beersheba in the south at midday Thursday. Included were Rishon Lezion, Herzliya, Jerusalem, Lachish, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Sderot, Eylot on the road to Eilat and Bedouin settlements in the Negev. There was also an attempt to strike the Air Force’s Ramon air base in the south.  A second barrage followed in late afternoon.
