A flotilla of Russian warships bound for Syria transits English Channel

The Russian aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov and task force passed through the English Channel Friday bound for Syria. It was shadowed by two British naval ships. Although the Russian vessels sailed in international waters, Defense Secretary Michael Fallon said the UK would be watching “as part of our steadfast commitment to keep Britain safe.”
