A hostage situation in Ankara after shooting of Russian ambassador
Russian ambassador to Turkey, Andrei Karlov, remains in the building after he was seriously injured in an Islamic shooting attack Monday. He is held there with three other injured people in a hostage situation. Turkish specialo forces are trying to gain control of the building. Moscow sources claim that the ambassador was removed to hospital after he was shot in the back while making a speech at a photo exhibition. Ankara sources deny this. The number of gunmen still in the building has not been establsihed.
