A large booby-trapped car disarmed in Beirut’s Hizballah stronghold
Lebanese army experts are working to dismantle large amounts of explosives in a booby-trapped blue Grand Cherokee car found Monday in Beirut's al-Maamoura neighborhood in the Hizballah stronghold of Dahya. Wires connected a mobile phone to a cable found in the car. At least 14 people were killed and 212 others wounded in a car bombing that rocked Hizballah’s Beirut stronghold on July 9.
