US helicopter made a safe emergency landing in northern Syria

A US spokesman Tuesday contradicted the Syrian news agency report of a US helicopter crash in the northern province of Hasakah. Inherent Resolve spokesman US Col. Wayne Matin said the coalition helicopter conducted an emergency landing with no injuries and the crew was recovered. The incident was not caused by hostile activity, he said. The site was immediately cordoned off by US armored vehicles.
