Active coronavirus cases climbing in Israel

Active covid-19 cases rose in Israel to a record 10,060 by Saturday morning, with serious cases climbing from 30+ to 77 in the past three days. The death toll inched up to 326. Of concern, too, to the health authorities is the uptick to 4.6pc of the proportion of positive cases registered in more than 24,000 tests, from around 1.4pc in June.
