Ahmadinejad cancels Turkey visit, snubs Erdogan
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Sunday cancelled his visit to Turkey the day before it was to take place.This follows the Iranian military chief’s remark that the Patriots being deployed on the Turkish-Syrian border would lead to world war and threaten Europe as well.
Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan invited the Iranian president to the Central Anatolian province of Konya for a ceremony marking the 739th anniversary of the passing of the great Sufi mystic Rumi.
