Al Aqsa reopens for Muslim worship after 70 days’ closure
The gates of Temple Mount reopened early Sunday and hundreds of Muslim worshipers arrived for dawn prayers at Al Aqsa Mosque. After 70 days of closure to contain the spread of the coronavirus, Temple Mount is now open to visitors and tourists of all faiths.
The two Israeli police officers who on Saturday shot dead a Palestinian they mistook for a terrorist were questioned under caution as part of the investigation into the incident.
