Al Qaeda calls for car bombs in US, other “crusader” countries

In the spring edition of its Inspire Magazine, Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula urges terrorist affiliates to detonate car bombs in major US cities, including New York, Washington D.C., and Los Angeles as well as other “crusader” countries like Britain and France, specifying the London Savoy frequented by “businessmen and high profile targets,” Chicago’s Sears Tower and the military bases of Northern Virginia. ” They must target heavily populated events such as sporting rallies and target people not buildings. You known the enemy better, you are within…”  It was Inspire magazine that contained instructions for making pressure cooker bombs that were used in the Boston marathon attack nearly a year ago.
