Al Qaeda-linked Islamists kill 4 Tunisian border guardsmen
The attack took place near Mount Chaambi, a national park on the Tunisian-Algerian border, where Islamists attacking Tunisian politicians have found refuge. The gunmen escaped after killing four soldiers and taking their weapons. The Al-Qaeda-lilnked Phalange Okba Ibn Nafaa claimed this and previous incidents in which dozens of Tunisian troops were killed in ambush. Tunisian border forces have been on high alert since the mass-murder of 21 Egyptian Christians in Libya.
