Aleppo’s ‘humanitarian pause’ goes into effect, with three-hour extension

The 'humanitarian pause' declared by Moscow for the Syrian city of Aleppo went into effect at 8am on Thursday. It is intended to enable the delivery of humanitarian aid, including medicine, food and other supplies to the devastated city. The cease-fire was extended by three hours and is now scheduled to end at 7pm.
