Alsheikh’s term as Police Commissioner will not be extended

Gilad Erdan, Minister of Public Security and Strategic Affairs, has informed Roni Alsheikh that his service as Commissioner of Police will not be extended beyond his retirement date in December. Erdan will announce the candidates for succeeding Alsheikh later Thursday.
