Altogether a thousand protesters turn out on Jerusalem issue in five arenas

On the third day of protests against President Trump’s decision on Jerusalem, no more than 1,000 Palestinian and Israeli Arabs rallied Saturday in Judea and Samaria, the Gaza Strip, Jerusalem and Wadi Iron. At one focus, Rachel’s Tomb in Bethlehem, around 600 Palestinians demonstrated. Three were slightly injured in scuffles with the Israeli police. In East Jerusalem, a few dozen blocked the Salah-e-Din main street, until they were scattered by police. Two police officers were injured and six protesters arrested.  In the Gaza Strip, 600 Palestinians attacked Israeli troops. Three suffered injuries form rubber bullets; and in Wadi Iron, north of Tel Aviv, 200 Israeli Arabs, led by their elected Knesset members, held up placards inscribed “Jerusalem is the Capital of Palestine.
A special message in Arabic was broadcast to the people of the Gaza Strip by IDF Maj. Gen. Yoav Mordecai, Coordinator of Government Operations in the Territories: “Wake up, because time is against you,“ he said. “Continuing to fire rockets will bring forth a harsh and painful response from the IDF. Don’t test our strength – especially with winter coming.”
