American Mumbai plotter gets 35 years
David Coleman Headley, a US Chicago citizen of Pakistani descent, was sentenced to 35 years in prison for his role in the 2008 terrorist attack on Mumbai, known as India’s 9/11. The attack killed 166 people, including children and six Israelis at the Habad center. He avoided the maximum life or death sentences by agreeing to testify against additional terror suspects living in America and obtained a promise he would not be extraditedto India.
