Amy Coney Barret sworn in as US Supreme Court justice

President Donald rump hosted the swearing in ceremony on Monday of his choice as supreme court justice, Amy Coney Barret, 48, after her confirmation by a partisan Senate. The vote for Barret, whose appointment cements the conservative majority in the Supreme Court, was by 52 Republicans against a solid bloc of 48 Democrats. It took place just nine days before the presidential election.
