An Emirates Airlines jet from India crash-lands at Dubai airport

An Emirates plane has crash-landed at Dubai Airport after reportedly catching fire in mid-air. The Dubai government confirmed the Boeing 777-300 – which took off from Trivandrum, Kerala in India earlier Wednesday – had crash-landed at the international airport. The official word is that all 227 passengers and crew were evacuated and there were no injuries reported “so far.” However, Dubai airport has stopped all departures for “a major evacuation operation.”
