An explosion hits oil tanker off Saudi Jeddah coast
A shipping company reported on Sunday that the Singapore-flagged BW Rhine oil tanker was hit by an explosion off the western Saudi port city of Jeddah, most likely as part of a series of attacks on oil kingdom by the Yemeni Houthis. The BW group said all 22 sailors on board escaped without injury. Some oil may have leaked out from the vessel. Last month, another tanker was damaged by a mine off the Saudi coast that was also ascribed to the Iranian-backed Yemeni insurgents.
