An Iranian assassination plot against an Israeli businessmen foiled in Turkey

The Turkish MIT security service was reported by local media on Friday as having foiled an Iranian plot to assassinate Israel businessman Yair Geller. The hit was to have avenged the murder of Iran’s top nuclear scientist Mohsen Fahrizadeh in November 2020, as well as torpedoing any détente between Turkey and Israel. The Turkish authorities have arrested nine members of the team suspected of following Geller.
