An Israeli citizen died in the Mali terrorist siege
Shmuel Ben Hillel, 60, from Tzur Hadassah, an Israeli who was working as an adviser on education to the Mali government, died in the Islamist terrorist attack on the Radisson Blue Hotel in Bamako Friday. A second Israel was rescued with a group of hostages who survived the attack. The government in Mali employs a number of Israeli advisers in various fields. Since the siege ended Saturday in 21 deaths, plus the two gunmen who stormed the hotel, the Mali authorities are hunting for three more suspects.
