Another covid-19 high: 5,527 new cases in Israel in a day

Israel registered 5,527 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday; 1,163 were admitted to hospital, 535 in serious condition and 138 requiring ventilators. The death toll rose to 1,149. The Ministry of Health directed hospitals to start preparing additional wards for the expected influx of new covid-19 sufferers.
