Another Gaza ceasefire goes into effect Sunday night
Egyptian sources report that Israel and the Palestinians agreed to another 72-hour ceasefire starting after Sunday midnight. No response to this report has come from Israel. Although rockets kept on coming from the Gaza Strip all day Sunday, Israel envoys are reported in Cairo to have returned to the Egyptian capital, despite a government pledge in Jerusalem not to negotiate under fire.
Israeli sources deny this report and stress that envoys will only set out for Cairo early Monday – if and when Hamas rocket launchers fall silent after midnight.
