Police shoot protesters dead, cut Internet on fourth day of Iran’s anti-government unrest

Clashes with the police, chants for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to step down, protests over rising prices marked the fourth day of popular protests against the regime Saturday in at least nine cities. Police opened fire in at least one town Dorud, where some 5 protesters were reported killed. The authorities cut Internet access to mobile phones and interrupted the main social networks several times in Tehran, with the most popular, Telegram, threatened with complete shutdown, accused of encouraging an “armed uprising.”  Roadblocks were also reported thrown up on the main road links between the big towns.
The conservative Mehr news agency posted videos of protesters attacking a town hall in central Tehran, overturning a police car and burning the Iranian flag. Mashhad, Kermanshah and Ahwaz, Iran’s main oil center, also saw street rallies. The regime fought back by staging a large pro-government demonstration in Tehran. State media cautioned the people to shun the demonstrations because they were part of a “foreign conspiracy to topple the regime.”

They shoot rioters just as they would in the UK, or anywhere else you’d care to mention. Got it. Check.

They certainly would. In fact, in London, during recent unrest, in addition to draconian sentencing measures, Metropolitan police published the shoot to kill policy voluntarily. In addition U.S.A publicly executes more than 600 individuals yearly. There are no reporting requirements for officer involved shootings and little data on the real numbers. This is an internal issue for a sovereign state with a considerable popular mandate and obviously part of the widespread foreign interference in Iran’s internal affairs.

I hope the Mullahs are overthrown soon. I am for the people of Iran who are much more sensible than their Islamic oppressors. iVaN, do you really support the Islam-fascist dictators? Why?

I don’t support them, i find them as absurd as all of our Lilliputian leaders. I mean, you don’t seriously respect Donald Trump?

        5. And surely he, whom wine betrays, a haughty man whose dwelling shall not remain, who widened his desire like the nether- world-and he is like death and shall never be sated, and he gathered all the nations to himself and collected to himself all peoples.
        6. Shall not all these take up a parable against him and a figure of a riddle against him? And he shall say, "Woe to him who increases what is not his! How long? And who loads himself with a beam of mud!"
        7. Will not those who bite you arise suddenly, and those who startle you awaken? And you shall become plunder for them.
        8. Since you have cast away many nations, all remaining peoples shall cast you away, because of the blood of man and the violence done to the land, the city, and all its inhabitants.
        9. Woe to him who gains evil gains for his house to place his nest on high, to be saved from the hand of an evil one.
        10. You have advised shame for your house, to cut off many peoples, and you have sinned against your life.

1 Woe to the proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim. And the fading flower of the beauty of his glory, That is on the head of the fat valley of the broken down of wine.

2 Lo, a mighty and strong one is to the Lord, As a storm of hail — a destructive shower, As an inundation of mighty waters overflowing, He cast down to the earth with the hand.

3 By feet trodden down is the proud crown of the drunkards of Ephraim,

      B-U-L-L-F-E-A-T-H-E-R-S !

They shoot radical Islamic terrorists while in the act of committing acts of terrorism while in Iran, by contrast, they shoot peaceful demonstrators or arrest and interrogate (AKA “torture”) them.

Actually it might be the other way around, had you considered that your own ‘heroes’ are frauds, too? In fact, they might even be worse. “net neutrality” is a bullshit vehicle to allow governments to interfere more – and a lot less to do with ‘equal access’ which is the big barrow that big brother is pushing to win over the plebs. Seems to be working…

90% of Fars News articles have words in their headlines like “bomb”’, “kill”, “terrorist”, “missile”, “war”, etc. It is remarkable that this is from a theocracy government. Priest in the West are quite different. It’s difficult to understand.
