Anti-Israel ads plastered on London Underground trains

Mocked-up anti-Israel ads appearing on about 500 London Underground trains Monday morning were swiftly removed by the London Transport authority as unauthorized and an “act of vandalism which we take extremely seriously.” Four separate ads viewed by millions of rail commuters were labeled “Apartheid is Great Britain,” accused Israeli of torturing and massacring Palestinians, charged the BBC with pro-Israel bias in its reporting and slammed UK companies for selling arms used to “massacre Palestinians” in the 2014 anti-terror operation in Gaza. They were taken out by the BDS Movement which is dedicated to a boycott campaign agaisnt the Jewish State.

Conservative London Assembly member and transport spokesman Richard Tracey said: “It is utterly deplorable that these offensive ‘adverts’ have been smeared across parts of the tube network by a small number of activists,” while Labor Assembly Member for Barnett and Camden Andrew Dismore raised the issue with the London Transport.
