Anti-law reform protesters vow to continue crippling mass rallies, strikes
President Yaacov Herzog’s bid for dialogue on the government’s judicial reform bills is stuck. Anti-reform leaders Wednesday scheduled another “Black Monday” of mass protest rallies for next week. They urge opposition lawmakers to shun any discussions for a compromise until the overhaul bills are completely scrapped. “We are expanding our campaign of civil disobedience to thwart a regime-engineered coup d’etat,” they said, after opposition leaders Yair Lapid and Benny Gantz showed a tendency to talk under the president’s aegis, if the government suspended advancing legislation on the reform bills.
