Area of Nahal Oz near Gaza declared as closed zone by IDF

The area of Kibbutz Nahal Oz, located less than half a kilometer from the Gaza border fence and the outskirts of Gaza City, was declared as a "closed military zone" by the IDF on Wednesday afternoon. The move followed incidents earlier in the day in which mortar rounds were fired toward the kibbutz from Gazan territory, and an explosive device was thrown in the direction of IDF troops operating on the Israeli side of the fence.
