Argentine Chief Rabbi badly hurt in apparent anti-Semitic attack

Argentina’s Chief Rabbi Gabriel Davidovitch was badly hurt and his wife attacked in a break-in of his home in Buenos Aires early Tuesday by unidentified assailants. They said: “We know that you are the rabbi of the Jewish community” before making off with money and personal valuables. The rabbi was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Heads of the Argentine Jewish community issued a statement demanding that the authorities clarify an incident which they call a warning signal. DEBKAfile’s sources add: The attack on the chief rabbi was clearly anti-Semitic in nature. Security in Buenos Aires has deteriorated sharply in recent months as the country sinks into economic crisis. Break-ins to homes are rife and gangs of robbers are out on the streets.

May the Chief Rabbi Gabriel Davidovitch and his wife fully recover from the injuries inflicted on them and be able to resume their religious duties soon………….their community needs them.

I ask myself what I might do in a similar situation and think it time to learn how to handle a gun. I hope that the Rabbi makes a full recovery and that Venezuela does as well.

This, once again, points out to Jews that the threats come in all forms but mainly from the left and Islamists these days. I do not know why a Jewish community which is under a brutal Communist regime would remain there to see what happens when in history things did not turn out well for Jews who remained behind in the face of horrible forms of leadership with crazy ideologies (supported by crazies like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie the Bolshevik Sanders).

It could have been worse, if the attackers were as antisemitic as some of the folks we see posting here, the rabbi probably would have been executed right there on the spot. It’s a serious issue no matter what the motive, but it sounds like the perps were probably just some local thugs who think Jews all swim in piles of gold and it wouldn’t hurt them to be shaken down once in a while.

    Anti-Semitism in Argentina?

    There’s no history there.

That’s where half the doomed rats who managed to escape the fall of the 3rd Reich escaped to. Sieg Heil!

What is it that is driving these attacks? There seems to be a worldwide increase.
