Arrest of Tel Aviv gunman’s father extended by three days

At the Israeli prosecution's request, a Haifa district court on Thursday extended the arrest of Mohammed Melhem, father of the terrorist Nashat Melhem, as well as those of the terrorist's brother and another relative. Nashat Melhem has been the focus of a massive manhunt since he carried out an attack on Tel Aviv's Dizengoff Street on January 1. All three of the family members under arrest are suspected of interference with the investigation.
