As Trump’s summit with Xi nears, Pyongyang test-fires another missile
North Korea carried out its latest test of a ballistic missile on Wednesday just one day before the arrival of Chinese President Xi Jinping in Florida for a summit with President Donald Trump. The intermediate-range KN-15 lifted off Wednesday on North Korea's east coast not far from the city of Sinpo and flew for just 60 kilometers before landing in the Sea of Japan. The test took place as the US and South Korea are engaged in a joint military exercise that Pyongyang considers to be a violation of its sovereignty. North Korea's tests of its nuclear- capable missiles will be one of the main topics at the summit, which will be held Thursday at Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort. Meanwhile, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson issued a brief statement saying "North Korea launched yet another intermediate range ballistic missile. The United States has spoken enough about North Korea. We have no further comment."
