Ash Carter to attend delivery to Israel of first F-35 stealth fighters
The first two US high-tech F-35 stealth fighters of the 50 ordered by Israel are to be delivered at a ceremony Monday attended by US Secretary of Defense Ashton Carter. Air Force Chief Brig. Gen. Tal Kalman said. “The Israeli F-35 will become the first fifth-generation fighter jet in the Middle East and will give us a significant advantage compared to all the other players in the region.” The F-35 will be the IAF’s first stealth fighter. The ceremony at the Nevatim air base will be attended by Israel’s top government and military leaders.
