Assad: Geneva 2 will fail without a decision to fight terrorism

Syrian President Bashar Assad told the AFP news agency that the Geneva 2 conference on peace in Syria opening Wednesday would fail unless it determined ways for combating terrorism. In another interview, he predicted that the Syrian conflict would go on for a long time, even years. Assad said he would run again for president in the June election.
