Assad: Israel seeks to destabilize Syria

The Syrian ruler Bashar Assad accused Israel Sunday of trying to "destabilize" his country. In his remarks on the reported Israeli air strike in Syria after meeting Iranian National Security Director Saeed Jalilee, Assad said that Syria was able to confront "current threats… and aggression."
