At Azaria trial, paramedic recounts chaos before Hebron shooting
The defense in the trial of IDF soldier Elor Azaria continued to call witnesses on Thursday at a military court in Jaffa. Azaria is charged with manslaughter over the killing of a subdued terrorist in March. A senior paramedic for Israel's Magen David Adom emergency medical service testified Thursday that on the day of the incident he arrived on the scene in Hebron shortly after the terrorist attacked IDF soldiers, but was told to leave by a member of the police bomb squad who said that he had yet to determine whether the terrorist was wearing an explosive device. The paramedic added that there was chaos on the scene with people yelling that the terrorist was still alive and had yet to be subdued.
