At least 27 injured in car bomb explosion in Van, E. Turkey

The car which exploded outside local government offices Monday ripped through the center of Turkey's southeastern city of Van, wounding at least 27 people. Police accused the Kurdish PKK of the attack, which was staged a day after the Erdogan government stripped 24 Kurdish mayors of their offices, four of them in Van province. The pro-Kurdish opposition party accused the government of an illegal “administration coup” against the Kurdish minority.
