At least 4 killed in two big bomb blasts targeting Syrian army HQ
The General Staff main building in the heart of Damascus was damaged by two bomb blasts. According to Syrian activists, dozens of people were killed. A Syrian army statement first said no military personnel were hurt and later reported four dead in the explosions, one of which was from a car bomb. Iran claimed one of its reporters died in the heavy exchange of fire following the blasts. Witnesses reported casualties on both sides. Tuesday, several bombs went off inside a Damascus school used by regime forces as a security headquarters. Several people were wounded.
