At least 5 dead, 40 missing in Canadian runaway train disaster
Five dead have been counted so far and 40 people are still missing after a freight train carrying tankers of crude oil derailed at high speed and exploded in a giant fireball in the middle of the small south Canadian town of Lac-Megantic north of the US town of Maine Saturday. More than 2,000 buildings were destroyed. Rescue teams are still looking for survivors. The runaway train spilled oil into the environment including the nearby lake.
