Ban on incoming flights reversed

The Israeli cabinet Sunday approved an amendment to the emergency regulations that requires all Israelis returning from abroad to be sent straight to state-run quarantine hotels. On Saturday night, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu called a ban on all incoming flights to Israel after incidents of arrivals being released to go where they wanted without screening or quarantine. The amendment empowers the IDF’s Home Front staff at the airport to direct arrivals to coronavirus hotels, which means that flights are still being allowed to land.
