Barak on morale-boosting visit to air defense base
Defense Minister Ehud Barak and Air Force Commander Maj. Gen. Amir visited a northern Israel air base and met officers in charge of air defense systems Tuesay. DEBKAfile: Their visit aimed at lifting morale after an Iranian drone penetrated Israeli air space Saturday, Oct. 6, an event which many IDF officers complained should have been prevented when the drone was still over the Mediterranean. Barak praised members of the air base for their “important and responsible service at a time of regional uncertainty and tough challenges.”
