Bedouin protests against housing scheme injure 13 police

Thousands protested Saturday in the Negev, Haifa, Jerusalem, Tira, Taiba and Qalanswa against government re-housing schemes for Bedouin. In the Negev, dozens protesters were detained for throwing rocks which injured 11 police officers, including a commander. A few score Arabs and Jews rallied at Damascus Gate in Jerusalem.
